The above sequence shows the Incognito album "Tribes, Vibes + Scribes" at different stages of its development.
The top item is an early indicator that Incognito had some fresh material ready in Spring 1992, when the album was available by a select few on white label format, and in this case it was Gilles Peterson who was giving the tracks a spin in advance of release. This playlist chart was published in Straight No Chaser magazine.
Next up is the LP cover design in its raw stage before the details were included, this being the work of illustrator, Ian Wright.
Under that is a review of the album that eventually came out on Talkin Loud in Summer '92, this item published in DJ magazine in July that year.
Finally, I have the finished LP cover from my own shelves up on display, and now featuring the typographics done by Swifty on the front.
