LUV 'N' HAIGHT STUFF
The top 2 items are an overview of San Fransisco record label, Luv 'N' Haight, which appeared in Birmingham Vibe magazine back in 1996.
It contains the Luv 'N' Haight discography as well as the lowdown on its 2 offspring, Ubiquity and CuBop.
I have quite a few of the records that crop up on the overview but decided to just pluck 1 out as an example to accompany the piece.
I opted for the Luv 'N' Haight compilation "Deja Vu", a very nice set of retro funk & jazz grooves.
The review of the album was published in a June 1992 issue of Touch magazine.
The chart that has Deja Vu at top position comes from a spring '92 issue of Straight No Chaser magazine, with UFO's Raphael being the list compiler as well as the DJ throwing down the vinyl at the Jazz Cave in Tokyo.
Finally, there is the LP itself from my shelves of vinyl at home.
